Our FAQs

Direct primary care, commonly known as DPC, is the practice of medicine that focuses on restoring the patient-physician relationship, fostering better care and resulting in less money spent on healthcare. We spend more time with our patients and pride ourselves in price transparency. We stay on top of your chronic medical conditions and care for you when you are acutely ill. Your medications are usually dispensed to you at near wholesale price or no additional cost. You are able to often make an appointment the same or very next day. We eliminate excessive waiting times. You are not limited to 1-problem only visits.

At The Well MD, we consider it an honor that you trust us with your health, hence it is reflected in the care you receive. We don't simply treat an ailment, but, just as deep as a well is, we dig deeper. We treat beyond what meets the eye. AND we make in home visits.

Yes, you do. Although we do not accept insurance, we highly recommend that you have insurance coverage for services we can not provide for you, such as surgeries, obstetrics care, hospital stays, specialty care or any life threatening conditions. We recommend at least a high-deductible, low premium plan. You never need to use your insurance at The Well MD.

It is our goal to prevent or reduce your trips to an urgent care, emergency room or hospitalization through preventative care. However, when life happens and you are hospitalized, we collaborate with your care team and advocate on your behalf, thanks to the knowledge we have acquired from our physician-patient relationship.

You can reach us via text, call, email or your patient portal. For urgent matters, call us directly.

Absolutely yes, you can. Please be aware that we do not accept any type of insurance, including Medicare. You will sign a waiver stating that neither you nor The Well MD will directly bill Medicare for services rendered. Medicare will still cover laboratory testing, imaging, medications, or hospitalizations ordered by our physician.

Although we foster a great relationship with you and will hate to see you go, you may cancel at any time. We do ask that you give us a 30 day notice. Please note that there is a re-enrollment fee of $250 should you decide to rejoin.
